Beep Code       Possible Problem
One                 Possible system board failure - BIOS ROM checksum failure
Two                 No RAM detected. NOTE: If you installed or replaced the memory module
ensure that the memory module is seated properly.
Three              Possible system board failure — Chipset error
Four                RAM read/write failure
Five                Real Time Clock failure
Six                  Video card or chip failure
Seven             Processor failure
Eight               Display failure

The "real time clock" is the circuit that maintains the time on the system.  If this circuit fails the PC has no way to maintain an accurate clock.  The series of 5 then 2 beeps is indicative of a more serious issue.  It could be a loose RAM chip or something else that is defective.

I would seriously recommend having a service shop look the unit over before you wind up loosing everything on your hard disk/

Your Dell inspiron N5110 start up with 5 beeps its indicates that your Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) battery failure.
Change the coin cell battery of cmos. Then start your Dell inspiron N5110 will start normally. My laptop also gone through this problem I search internet for the solution and get this solution. this solution work for me. when i replace CMOS battery the beeps are gone now my laptop starts normally.
